I’m yet to meet a parent who hasn’t felt overwhelmed by the sudden wave of parenting ‘advice’ they begin to receive as soon as they announce their exciting news.

Knowledge is great when it helps us to make informed decisions.

However, parenting advice that feeds our fears and asks parents to ignore their gut instincts just overcomplicates things.

“Carrying him instead of using a pushchair will make him clingy”.

The parenting section of our website is about sharing our gentle parenting journey.

It’s about letting other parents know that parenting isn’t always easy but it doesn’t have to be a constant power struggle.

It’s no bad thing to break some parenting rules or to let your strong willed child be strong.

It’s about showing what’s possible when we trust our children…

So, I invite you to ignore the comments of “you’ll make a rod for your own back!” and just do you!
